Clothing & Gear
Tight-fitting shorts and high-visibility shirt, preferably quick-dry. Loose clothing can get caught in equipment and thus is a safety hazard.
Windbreaker or second shirt (long-sleeved).
2 pairs of socks—one to wear in the boat (they will get wet!) and one for dry-land workouts.
Water shoes, crocs, or sandals to wear in water when launching the boat. Flip-flops are not recommended (they stick in the mud).
Tennis shoes for dry-land workouts.
Baseball-style hat; high-viz preferred.
Sunscreen
Water bottle with your name on it.
Snacks, lunch (“Don’t forget your lunch!”). Due to a severe allergy on the team, we ask that participants refrain from bringing any food with nut products.
