What You Need for any of the summer sessions:

Enthusiasm!

… and the following signed forms, clothing & gear:

  1. VIRC Waiver

  2. Health History Form

  3. Float Test Form - signed by lifeguard

  4. Code of Conduct

[Print the forms, sign them, photograph them, and email the photos to Delany Steele, director@vashoncrew.com]

  5. Medical Insurance

Photograph the rower’s card and email it to Delany Steele, director@vashoncrew.com.

  6. Clothing & Gear

    • Tight-fitting shorts and high-visibility shirt, preferably quick-dry. Loose clothing can get caught in equipment and thus is a safety hazard.

    • Windbreaker or second shirt (long-sleeved).

    • 2 pairs of socks—one to wear in the boat (they will get wet!) and one for dry-land workouts.

    • Water shoes, crocs, or sandals to wear in water when launching the boat. Flip-flops are not recommended (they stick in the mud).

    • Tennis shoes for dry-land workouts.

    • Baseball-style hat; high-viz preferred.

    • Sunscreen

    • Water bottle with your name on it.

    • Snacks, lunch (“Don’t forget your lunch!”). Due to a severe allergy on the team, we ask that participants refrain from bringing any food with nut products.
